About Us

TTQ Economic Development Corporation (TTQ) was codified in 2017 to represent Xa'xtsa First Nation’s business interests including its corporations and limited partnerships. Xa’xtsa First Nation (Xa’xtsa) is located at the northern tip of Harrison Lake, located 130 km by road north of Harrison Hot Springs, and 97 km southeast of Pemberton. Although TTQ is wholly owned by Xa’xtsa, it was formed to ensure business interests would be separated from political interests. TTQ operates a variety of economic initiatives including forestry, hydro power development, gravel operations, and retail (gas station). They currently own and operate a variety of heavy equipment and maintain a large base of operations. TTQ's goals are to ensure their business interests provide local and sustainable employment to harness opportunities for all community members. This includes a commitment to capacity building, training, diversifying opportunities which can build off existing strengths, and taking a long-term approach to ensure appropriate succession. TTQ has a number of ongoing projects but also has numerous ideas to further develop economic capacity.
